General description of products Toolox 40

Pre-hardened, exceptionally pure engineering and tool steel.

Toolox® 40 is a pre-hardened steel suitable for engineering components and molds. It has good dimensional stability after machining.

Toolox® 40 has the same machinability as conventional steel P20/W.Nr 1.2311 despite its almost 100 HBW higher nominal hardness combined with the known high dimensional stability of Toolox®. This makes Toolox® 40 your ideal choice for engineering components that require greater strength, or for molds and dies that require greater wear resistance.

Size range

Toolox® 40 is available in the form of plates from 6.0 to 130.0 mm thick. Other sizes may be available upon request.
