General description of products

alform® normalized rolled steel achieves the listed mechanical properties even in the condition of delivery and after additional normalization. Compliance with the strictest production requirements ensures ideal processing results. Depending on the respective strength class, these steels are used for deep drawing, profiling and edging etc. in a wide range of applications.

These steel grades meet all requirements for comparable steels according to EN 10025-2.

Compelling benefits

  • Very good for cutting, stamping and forming
  • Very good weldability due to low carbon equivalent
  • Improved properties with narrower limits than comparable standard steels

1) Average minimum average of three samples (ISO-V, longitudinal) relative to the full-size sample
(10 x 10 mm).
2) The smallest admissible internal radius at a 90° edge, Ri min.
3) Values at -40 °C are guaranteed for a limited size range and the material is designated as ME.

Impact energy testing with cuts with a thickness of < 6 mm do not meet the relevant Euronorm standards. Cut impact energy can be measured on request for orders of sheet thickness ≥ 3 mm.
