Duroxite ® fights wear, guaranteed
Duroxite ® products have warranties unique to the pad market. When you order a 6mm pad on a 6mm base plate, for example, you know that’s what you’re going to get with a margin of error of ±10%. This is consistent across the plate and from plate to plate.
Wear is also guaranteed up to 75% of the thickness of the deposited layer, not just on the surface of the layer. The remaining 25% is a transition layer needed to maintain good adhesion to the base plate.

Duroxite® with a harder base plate
Duroxite® 101 and Duroxite® 201 face plates have Hardox® 450 as a base plate. This provides higher plate efficiency compared to using a mild steel base plate in the event that the abrasive material reaches the base plate. The strength and durability of the harder base plate also makes the overlay stronger and more resistant to deformation.
Duroxite ® in production
Duroxite ® is designed to be strong, but not difficult in the workshop. No special equipment is required to install Duroxite®. Welding, bolting, and stud welding are common methods of installing a Duroxite ® wear part or backplate on your equipment. See the Duroxite ® brochure for more installation information.
One of the key advantages of Duroxite ® is its excellent formability due to the checkerboard pattern of cracks on the pad surface. This simplifies the bending of the plate and ensures a smooth flow of processed materials.
