DIROS

Heavy loads, low temperatures or acidic liquids – your pressure vessels meet maximum specifications with minimal material use when you choose Dillinger’s own DIROS steel.

• DIROS 500 fine grain structural steel, vacuum treated, water hardened and tempered, is a further evolution of the P500Q steel standardized in EN 10028 Part 6 and ASTM/ASME A/SA 533 grade.
• DIROS 500 has high mechanical strength and extremely good viscosity at low temperatures. It is therefore ideal for use in pressure vessels in offshore installations where weight optimization is particularly important.
• Customers can choose between two variants: DIROS 500 HT for maximum mechanical strength and DIROS 500 S for high mechanical strength combined with acid gas resistance according to NACE MR 0175.
• Like all Dillinger proprietary steels, DIROS has extremely good working and welding properties.
