General description of products

Thermomechanically rolled alform® steels have a low-carbon, fine-grained microstructure. The steel can be annealed for stress relief between 530 and 580 °C. Annealing above 580 °C is prohibited and will result in reduced flow and tensile strength. If heat treatment above 580 °C is required, please contact our quality control department.

These steel grades meet all the requirements for comparable steels according to EN 10149-2.

The different ways of producing cut sheets from hot-rolled steel strip and thick sheet lead to certain product advantages, which are described in more detail in the relevant technical specifications. The special feature of alform plate 700 M and alform 700 ME is their excellent strength.

3) The yield strength may be lower by 20 MPa for thickness > 8 mm.
Test Direction: The longitudinal minimum values for ReH and Rm also apply in the transverse direction.
For an indistinct shear yield strength and in arbitrary cases the elongation of Rp0.2 A80 is used
to a thickness of less than 3 mm and A5 to a thickness greater than or equal to 3 mm.
4) Greater thickness on request.
5) Tensile tests are carried out on transverse samples according to EN 10002.

6) Av is the minimum average of three samples (ISO-V, longitudinal) relative to the full-size sample
(10 x 10 mm).
7) The smallest admissible internal radius at a 90° edge, Ri min.
8) Values ​​at -40 °C are guaranteed for a limited size range and the material is designated as ME.
9) Notched plate impact bending test according to EN 10045 using Charpy-V longitudinal specimens at
-50 °C. The average value of the three tests must meet the established requirements. None
of individual values ​​cannot be lower than 70% of the minimum average value. At thickness
less than < 10 mm, Sharpie-V samples are tested in sizes 10 x 7.5 mm. Guaranteed
the value falls in proportion to the cross-section of the sample.
