General description of products
DI-RACK slabs with a minimum yield strength of 690 MPa combined with excellent strength properties are the solution for highly loaded structures in the offshore oil and gas industry. DI-RACK is used, for example, in wind turbine installation container supports and in mobile production platforms, so-called lifting installations, for jacking system racks.
Strengths of DI-RACK patented steel:
-
- DI-RACK is a hardened and tempered fine-grained structural steel with constant yield strength throughout the thickness range up to 210 mm: 690 MPa for type B and 723 MPa for types M and S, which additionally have increased tensile strength.
- DI-RACK offers further improved deformation properties perpendicular to the plate surface for plates subjected to through-thickness loading.
- DI-RACK has not only ultra-high mechanical strength, but also excellent strength across the entire cross-section of the plate at test temperatures down to -60° C, depending on the customer’s requirements.
- Dillinger has ABS and DNV approval for plates in the 690 MPa strength class.
