Hardox® Extreme
Hardox® Extreme steel, exceptionally resistant to abrasive wear
With a nominal hardness of 60 on the Rockwell scale and a typical hardness of 650-700 on the Brinell scale, Hardox® Extreme wear-resistant sheet steel is the hardest in the world.
Abrasion-resistant Hardox® Extreme steel with a nominal hardness of 60 units on the Rockwell scale is intended for use in conditions that place very high demands on materials in terms of resistance to abrasive wear. Typical products of this steel are lining plates, etc.
Tests of Hardox® steel for impact toughness
Hardness is the property that underlies the excellent wear resistance of Hardox® steel sheets throughout their service life.
Size series
Hardox® Extreme steel is available in sheet thicknesses from 8 to 19 mm, widths up to 2000 mm and lengths up to 14,630 mm, with a preferred size of 2000 x 4000 mm, other sizes available on request. To familiarize yourself with the type sizes in more detail, see
