Strenx® 1300
Ultra high strength steel at 1300 MPa
Strenx® 1300 is an ultra-high-strength structural steel with a minimum yield strength of 1300 MPa.
Typical applications include load-bearing structures that place very high demands on low weight. SSAB developed Strenx® 1300 to create the lightest steel solutions or to provide an alternative to other materials.
Benefits of Strenx® 1300 include:
- Good weldability with excellent strength and toughness in HAZ
- Exceptional consistency inside the plate is guaranteed by small tolerances
- High impact toughness, providing good tear resistance
- Excellent bending and surface quality
