Steel for ballistic protection with extremely high hardness

Ramor® 600 is an ultra-high hardness ballistic protection steel rated 600 HBW available in thicknesses of 3.0-6.0mm (0.118-0.236″).

Ramor® 600 is available as cut sheet in thicknesses of 3.0-6.0mm (0.118-0.236″). Supplied in a hardened condition, Ramor® 600 is not intended for further heat treatment.

Mechanical tests

Brinell hardness test according to EN ISO 6506-1 for each individual heat treatment/coil.

The hardness is measured on the milled surface 0.3-2 mm below the surface of the plate.
