SSAB Domex 355MC Plus is a high-strength, low-alloy steel with improved impact toughness and ductility properties. In the production of a new generation of low-alloy steels, all parameters are carefully controlled to ensure a fine-grained microstructure and minimal dispersion of mechanical properties. The fine-grained microstructure significantly improves the quality of the cutting edge, which in turn increases plasticity while maintaining excellent formability and improving impact toughness.

SSAB Domex 355MC Plus is available in thicknesses of 3 – 12 mm, widths up to 1860 mm in the form of rolls, narrow rolls, wide web sheets up to 16 meters long.

The SSAB standard provides tighter tolerances for the length and width of the SSAB Domex than the EN 10051 standard.

SSAB Domex 240YP meets or exceeds EN 10025-2 steel grades S235JRC, S235J0C or S235J2C, subject to agreed impact strength requirements at time of order. Upon separate agreement, the steel can be supplied with two certificates (for the SSAB Domex 240YP grade and the corresponding standard grade) and CE marking.

SSAB Domex 240YP steel is supplied in coils and strips in thicknesses from 1.80 to 20.00 mm and widths up to 1860 mm depending on the thickness, and in sheets cut to lengths of up to 16 meters.
