General description of products Toolox 33

Pre-hardened, exceptionally pure tool and engineering steel.

Due to its low carbon and alloy content, Toolox® 33 is ideal for welding as well as hot cutting. Providing the opportunity to make product components more cost-effective by saving processing time.

Supplied in hardened and tempered condition, Toolox 33 has high impact toughness and very low residual stresses to achieve good dimensional stability after machining. Toolox® 33 is suitable for molds and dies, as well as for tools and engineering components. By using proper surface treatment techniques, you can significantly extend the life of your tools and components.

Size range

Toolox® 33 is available in the form of plates from 6.0 to 130.0 mm thick. Other sizes may be available upon request.

1) Unless otherwise agreed, the transverse impact test according to EN 10025-6 option 30 will apply. For thicknesses from 6 to 11.9 mm, V-shaped undersized Sharpie samples are used. Then the specified minimum value is proportional to the cross-sectional area of the sample compared to the full-size sample (10 x 10 mm).

Ultrasonic control

Ultrasonic control is carried out according to: EN 10 160 with additional requirements according to the SSAB V6 specification.
