Armox® 500T is the world’s strongest protection plate with a nominal hardness of 500 HBW for use in vehicles, buildings and many other applications.

Mechanical tests

Brinell hardness test according to EN ISO 6506-1 for each individual heat treatment.

Charpy impact test according to EN ISO 148 at each heating and thickness from 6 mm.

Tensile test according to EN ISO 6892 at each heating and thickness less than 19.9 mm.

Ultrasonic control

According to EN ISO 10 160, class E3 S3.

Flatness

Tolerances according to Armox® flatness guarantees which are more restrictive than EN 10029 Class N (L type steel).
