Good to know
SIQUAL are characterized by high quality and reliability, which is what the very name SIQUAL associates us with. The SIQUAL brand brings together steels that are used to manufacture structural elements and machine parts in various industries. The two main fields of application are construction and mechanical engineering.
Non-alloy structural steels
Non-alloy structural steels, which are united under the SIQUAL brand, are rated for minimum yield strength and viscosity at a certain temperature. They are characterized by high strength and good elongation. At the same time, they have good formability and weldability. They are used for the production of various structures, machine parts, bridges and parts of agricultural machinery.
Steel, resistant to atmospheric corrosion
Compared to unalloyed steels, this group of SIQUAL steels has increased resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Under various weather influences, a protective oxide layer is formed on the surface of steels, resistant to atmospheric corrosion, which becomes more and more stable over the years. They are alloyed with copper, chromium, nickel and phosphorus, which form a protective surface layer in the form of iron oxides. The resistance of the structure to atmospheric corrosion depends on the environment in which the structure is located and, of course, also on the structure itself. They are used for various types of structures, bridges, fences, sculptures and roof tiles.
Steel for improvement and springs
Strengthening steels and springs of the SIQUAL brand are designed for products that require high strength and good viscosity at the same time. They are used for parts where stable vibration resistance is required. The main feature of this group of steels is that they return to their original shape after loading.
Steel for pressure vessels
SIQUAL brand ductile iron is divided according to its utility:
- Steels that maintain high strength even when working at elevated temperatures.
Due to good thermal conductivity and good corrosion resistance, these steels are used for: pipelines, boilers and parts of furnaces in the petrochemical industry, oil refineries, for flanges and heat exchangers. According to their chemical composition, these steels can be used up to a temperature of 600 °C.
- Steels for use at very low temperatures – steels for cryogenic use
They are intended for use down to -195 °C and are used mainly for the transport and storage of liquefied gases.
