Mild steel is not able to withstand the impact of an abrasive environment for more than one or two years. Despite the sufficient strength and impact toughness, mild steel, unlike strong steel, does not provide the necessary resistance to abrasive wear under difficult operating conditions.<\/p>\n

What about cast wear-resistant pipes? Pipes with extremely hard walls throughout the thickness are usually brittle. Due to peak pressure, the pipeline of transportation systems is in constant motion. A system of brittle cast pipes, which are often used in abrasive environments, is not the best choice.<\/p>\n

Hardox\u00ae tubes last longer and reduce the weight of Remu screening buckets<\/span><\/span><\/h4>[vc_column_text animation_delay=”0″]Hardox\u00ae pipes play an important role in the design of Finnish company Remu’s screening buckets. Screening is carried out by blade rotors made of wear-resistant Hardox 500 sheet steel, welded to Hardox 500 Tube steel. Rotors separate a large fraction or grind heterogeneous material, which is associated with increased wear of blades and pipes.<\/p>\n

Previously, the Remu company used S355 steel pipes with reinforcement. This decision was by no means optimal. It required a long production process, and the service life did not reach the desired level.
